VIBE ABOUT COLLABORATIONS

Vibe Harsløf has collaborated with a broad variety of brands; “I love to collaborate with other people and labels. It can feel very liberating to step out of my own universe and enter someone else´s, before it is filtered back through mine. I especially enjoy the process of making showpieces, where commercialism and wearability is not an issue but instead the challenge is to think big and be very clear in the message, followed by the process of expressing the same statement in a diluted and accessible pieces of jewelry, that can be worn by all, without compromising the statement”

VIBE HARSLØF x FACETASM #3

Our third collaboration with FACETASM is based on their AW24 collection, "Do What You Love," which, in addition to being a tribute to Spike Jonze, revolves around a central theme for FACETASM: youth and youth culture, filtered through their unique DNA and references.

This season, FACETASM has drawn inspiration from the youth of the '90s. For Vibe Harsløf, who herself was young and a newly graduated goldsmith during this period, it has been an exciting journey down memory lane, going through her archive and rediscovering her earliest jewelry designs, while reflecting on what inspired her back then. By using recycled silver and locally plating her designs in gold, Vibe has brought back the memories of this era and translated them into a collection that feels fresh and relevant today.

Some of the jewelry pieces are drawn from Vibe Harsløf’s archives. The small wing pendant was part of a pendant she created in the late '90s, while the sweetheart-inspired KISS ME pendant is a reinterpretation of a design from the same period. The rest of the collection is based on memories and their relevance to our current time, creating a story that reflects both our present, the '90s, FACETASM, and Vibe Harsløf.

VIBE HARSLØF x HENRIK VIBSKOV

The creative inspiration behind Henrik Vibskov`s SS24 collection emanates from the intriguing world of cardboard boxes – symbols of packaging, sending and the joy of unboxing. However, Vibskov infuses the collection with a twist by interweaving elements of actual boxing and the aesthetics that surround this dynamic sport. With this as a reference, Vibskov and Harsløf has developed silver nosepieces in the shape of bandaids, as well as ear/head-pieces with cartoonish birds circling the knocked out head for their presentation. These pieces has been transformed to small wearables in the shape of a silver band aid pendant attached to either a necklace or a small silver hoop and a small bird on an intricate ear piece as well as attached to either a necklace or a small silver hoop. A collection that embodies a thoughtful fusion of creativity and craftsmanship and presents a harmonious marriage of Vibe Harsløf and Henrik Vibskov´s artistic visions, resulting in a collection that pushes boundaries and encapsulates the essence of both parties design core.

VIBE HARSLØF x FACETASM

In the first collab with the japanese brand Facetasm, Vibe Harsløf has merged Facetasm aesthetics, Japanese culture and their perception of Danish youth culture. All items relate to the theme of Facetasm´s collection “Together” which is about youth. Beer opener, bottle caps and pill blister pack objects that create some sort of intimate, private or even romantic togetherness and translated to jewelry with a story of rebellion and freedom. The showpieces are real objects like cigarette butts, bottle caps, condoms, spray can tops, which have been silver plated or cast in concrete and then carefully assembled into large necklaces and earrings.

VIBE HARSLØF x ASTRID ANDERSEN

”In dialogue with Astrid Andersen, I have developed a small capsule of jewelry that compliments her AW20 collection,”Vibe Harsløft tells. The collection is a small series of silver and pearl pieces referencing army tagsand utensils needed for a military operation, while exploring
the language of men`s jewelry. “I am very fascinated by AA ability to combine and mix ultra feminine materials such as lace and silk with sporty materials and silhouettes, without losing the very masculine feeling but on the contrary making it almost macho looking, which I have applied as element in our collaboration” This has led to earclips and belt charms in chunky silver rope and a feminized version of the dog-tag with a large freshwater pearl.

Astrid Andersen has just launched her new brand STEL
